Three steps to happiness...

The 3 steps to start the .NET migration project are easy. First, we provide you with a free evaluation of your Gupta / Centura system with a ballpark estimate of the cost, time and effort. Second, you select to execute a Proof of Concept and a detailed evaluation of your system. Third, we prepare a fixed price guaranteed proposal.

1. Free Evaluation

The Porting ProjectThe first step is a no-risk initial assessment which won’t cost you a penny, and we don’t even need to get our hands on your code. We will provide you with our automated inventory tool. The tool crawls your project tree and generates a XML file that we can use to provide you with a ballpark estimate for the project.

Optionally you can submit a small application, including some reports, if you want to see some of your current Gupta / Centura code migrated to C# or VB.NET.

The end result is a ballpark estimate of the time, effort and potential problems related to the project.

2. Proof of Concept

Once you have approved the estimate, you may select to run a Proof of Concept. This involves a much more detailed analysis of your code based on a trial port of your application. We will also take a closer look at the findings of the PPJ Inventory tool and examine issues in your source code, under a mutual non-disclosure agreement.

This phase involves considerable work for which a modest charge is made – generally £3k - £5k.

3. Fixed Price

The last step is the fixed price guaranteed proposal.
