I followed the Java example in the documentation, but netbeans returns an error when I try to add a Web Service reference to the project.

Error:
"Problem with downloading wsdl or schema file.
Check the URL, proxy settings or whether the server is running.

URL: http://snapi.dataline.co.uk/SnAPIService.svc?wsdl"

I can open the link in a browser just fine and I have installed the SOAP plugin.

I recieve the same error even if I manually download the xml file and point netbeans to it locally.

Hi Rob,

If you follow the steps shown in the video tutorial below, do you still get the same problem?

Mike

P.S. This youtube video is much clearer when viewed in 720px (HD)

Yes exactly the same problem.

However, if I click on 'Services' in the sidebar (next to Projects), then right click on 'Web Services' and then 'Add' and input the url there, it seems to work, and I can drag the methods into the class as in the video.

Bizzare that it should do this but I'm not complaining if it works!
